Characters: Colonies are up to 1 m diameter, sub-massive to encrusting. Corallites are solitary or in short valleys approximately 1 mm wide. Septa are thick, uniform or irregularly fused with elaborated margins. Columellae are styliform. Walls are have conspicuous synapticular rings.
Colour: Dark green to brown.
Similar Species: Psammocora profundacella has larger corallites, a more elaborate columella and develops collines.
Habitat: Reef habitats.
Abundance: Sometimes common.
