Characters: Colonies are small and compact with short knobby branches. Verrucae are small and crowded. Corallites are crowded on verrucae.

Colour: Dark rust-brown or greenish-brown.

Similar Species: Pocillopora meandrina, which has less crowded corallites and more upright branches. See also P. kelleheri.

Habitat: Shallow reef environments.

Abundance: Common on exposed reef fronts.

Taxonomic Note: Poorly known species.
