Characters: Colonies are small (up to 80 mm across), attached and encrusting. A central corallite is usually distinguishable in small colonies. Septo-costae are similar to those of Diaseris. Tentacles are usually extended only at night.

Colour: Usually tan.

Similar Species: Sometimes resembles Cantharellus jebbi which is mostly monocentric.

Habitat: Shallow reef environments.

Abundance: Uncommon.

Taxonomic Note: Called Cycloseris mokai by Gittenberger, Reijnen and Hoeksema (2011) from molecular data. However, Cycloseris is solitary with distinctive generic-level characters.
