Characters: Colonies are encrusting, with stunted branches which are irregular in section. Monticules are fine and fused into irregular ridges.

Colour: Green or pale brown.

Similar Species: Hydnophora exesa, which has similarities in growth-form, but all skeletal structures are much larger.

Habitat: Rocky foreshores.

Abundance: Uncommon.
