Characters: Colonies are small open-branching side attached plates with horizontally flattened branches. Axial corallites are exsert, 1.2-1.9 mm diameter. Incipient axial corallites are common; other radial corallites are immersed.
Colour: Brown with white extremities.
Similar Species: Acropora tenella has more numerous branches which are more fused into plates and peripheral radial corallites of different shape.
Habitat: Reef slopes.
Abundance: Occasionally abundant.
