Characters: Colonies are small side-or centrally attached plates. A central corallite is distinct and peripheral corallites are regularly spaced. Septo-cosate mostly radiate from the central corallite and are in three dissimilar orders. All have very elaborated dentations. Columellae are small.

Colour: Ocher to brown, with a light brown periphery.

Similar Species: Podabacia lankaensis is similar in having very elaborated septo-costae however all skeletal structures are much more solid.

Habitat: Occurs on reef rubble.

Abundance: Locally common.
