Characters: Colonies are compact clumps of long, non-tapering, straight, equidistant branches radiating from a solid base and dividing frequently. Verrucae are small and evenly distributed.

Colour: Dark rust-brown basal parts of branches and white , pink or cream distal parts.

Similar Species: Pocillopora verrucosa which has thicker branches and larger verrucae.

Habitat: Shallow reef environments.

Abundance: Uncommon or rare.

Taxonomic Note: This could be a synonym of several nominal species from the central and western Pacific. Very similar to Pocillopora danae and further study into both species is required.
