Characters: Colonies are free-living, arched, irregularly oval or circular, up to 135 mm long. Corallites are more numer near the colony centre. Septo-costae are thin, closely packed, tend to alternate, and are highly ornamented.

Colour: Light brown.

Similar Species: Most characters are in common with Sandalolitha robusta and S. dentata however septo-costae are thinner and more finely ornamented.

Habitat: Reef environmens.

Abundance: Presumably rare.

Taxonomic Note: Taxonomic characters are poorly differentiated from Sandalolitha dentata.
