Characters: Colonies are mostly encrusting but forming unifacial laminae. Corallites are elliptical 1.8-3.6 mm diameter, with a deep central fossa . Septocostae are of similar siz, compact and irregularly fuse or are petalloid. Columellae are small. The colony surface is dominated by prominent tuberculae-like spines which do not contain corallites.

Colour: Cream or tan.

Similar Species: Closest to Leptoseris solida although corallties are much smaller and the inter-corallite spines are not found in any other species.

Habitat: Reef habitats.

Abundance: Rare.
