Characters: Colonies are massive, of unknown size range. Corallites are 1.5-2.0 mm diameter, slightly excavated. Porites septal pattern is clear with ventral septa usually not fused. The columella is small, pali inconspicuous. Columellae are laterally compressed. Synapticular rings are conspicuous in corallite walls.

Colour: Tan.

Similar Species: Porites lobata is very similar except that septa are thinner and 8 pali are usually discernable.

Habitat: Reef slopes.

Abundance: Unknown.
