Characters: Colonies are small branching cylindrical columns. Corallites are circular in outline, with thick walls and septa. Six paliform lobes form a crown.
Colour: Uniform brown, with or without paler tentacle tips.
Similar Species: Goniopora palmensis and G. pandoraensis, which are best distinguished by minor differences in growth-form.
Habitat: Shallow reef environments.
Abundance: Uncommon.
