Characters: Colonies are massive, often spherical, or may form thick submassive plates. Corallites are evenly spaced, plocoid or ploco-meandroid. Septo-costae are usually in two neatly alternating orders.
Colour: A distinctive orange-brown with white septo-costae, rarely green.
Similar Species: None.
Habitat: Most reef environments.
Abundance: Usually uncommon.
