Characters: Branches are thick (5-9 mm), short and strongly tapered. They are usually in fused clumps. Corallites are irregularly distributed on branches. Tentacles are commonly extended during the day.

Colour: Pink or cream.

Similar Species: Seriatopora stellata. See also S. hystrix, which can have similar branch shapes on shallow exposed reef flats.

Habitat: Shallow reef environments.

Abundance: Uncommon.
